Measurement Skid

Product Summary

Flow straighteners are instruments designed to optimize the flow of fluids by reducing the rotation of the fluid stream and developing a flow profile that replicates the discharge coefficients of orifice plates according to established standards.

Main Features: One of the main advantages of flow rectifiers is the reduction in the need for straight sections before measurement, thanks to the flow conditioning they provide.

Operation: Flow rectifiers play a crucial role in conditioning the flow, minimizing the effects of turbulence and rotation in the fluid stream passing through the orifice plate. Among the available types of rectifiers, the Tubular Bundle rectifier stands out for its efficiency in application, while the Zanker flow conditioner is known for normalizing the velocity profile of the flow, requiring a shorter straight section for measurement.

Main Applications: Flow rectifiers are widely used in various industries, including water and sanitation, oil and gas, petroleum refineries, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food and beverage industry, mining, energy, pulp and paper, as well as in steelmaking.

Technical Specifications: The pressure drop of flow rectifiers depends on the differential pressure, density, and axial velocity of the fluid. They can be manufactured in a variety of materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, among others (upon request). Available diameters range from 2" to 50", with additional options available upon inquiry. Pressure classes cover from 150# to 2500#, including series A and B, and other classes can be considered upon request. Flow rectifiers comply with ISO 5167 and AGA 3 standards.
